The DSPO is the focal point for all suicide prevention strategic development, implementation, centralization, standardization, communication and evaluation of DoD suicide and resilience programs, policies and surveillance activities. Its responsibilities include increasing awareness among members of the Armed Forces about suicide related risk and protective factors and decreasing stigma associated with seeking help for mental health care.

Azimuth was selected to provide all personnel, management and materials necessary to provide professional services in support of DSPO’s Suicide Prevention and Resilience mission to enhance suicide prevention and resilience among members of the Armed Forces. This includes logistical support to assist DSPO with the annual DoD/VA Suicide Prevention Conference.  It requires our professional staff to assist in the preparation and review of Congressional, White House, DoD and other federal agency inquiries, testimony and speeches.
