Azimuth Corporation was one of eighteen Ohio companies recognized for their support of veterans at the Hire Vets Medallion Awards this past November. The event was hosted by Secretary of Labor Eugene Scallea and featured remarks by Major General James W. Bierman, Jr., Commanding General Marine Corps Recruiting Command.
In all, 427 employers across the nation were recognized. Azimuth achieved the Platinum level recognition, having met stringent employment and veteran assistance program criteria, including hiring and retention criteria, providing veteran-specific resources, and other types of assistance.
This year was the official launch of the program. Signed into law in 2017 by President Trump, Azimuth was recognized last year as one of 239 companies honored during the program’s demonstration period.
Azimuth has a strong tradition in hiring veterans and supporting them through a variety of efforts since the company’s inception. For more information on the program, go to https://www.hirevets.gov/. To view the event online, go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=392ukg4zmho&feature=youtu.be.
