With every DoD contract win, including a recent $143-million prime award with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), Azimuth Corporation expands their support within and across national security organizations. This growing support of our warfighters goes beyond contract wins though; it permeates every facet of Azimuth’s business—including recruitment.
Since its inception, Azimuth Corporation has focused on hiring military veterans, resulting in the receipt of the HIRE Vets Medallion Award every available year—and a staff comprised of over 30% veterans. This percentage is certain to grow, with Azimuth’s newly established partnership with the SkillBridge Program.
Through the DoD program, Azimuth will provide internship opportunities to service members transitioning into civilian life, helping them gain the skills and confidence needed for success in their post-military career. Participants will have a range of career focuses to choose from, including program management, data analyst, security specialist, and materials scientist, among many others. The Azimuth program will focus on on-site opportunities in the Dayton, OH area.
“We are proud to be a part of a program with such impact. Hiring veterans is crucial in our commitment to support the national security mission with the right people and the right skillsets,” said Valerie Rossi, Azimuth President & CEO.
Azimuth will offer internships to participants, namely service members with 180 days of military service remaining. Through the program, veterans will work closely with current Azimuth employees to learn the job skills—with the goal of gaining a degree of independence toward the end of the internship. Azimuth may put forth an offer of employment upon completion, but veterans are not obligated to accept it.
