Wall space is at a premium at Azimuth Corporation, with newly framed accolades and awards piling up. The 2023 Dayton Business Journal Woman-Owned Business of the Year Award was mounted on Azimuth walls not too long ago—and now room must be made for the 2023 Greene County Achievers Award. Azimuth President and CEO Valerie Rossi received the prestigious award at the Green County Department of Development’s Annual Report to the Community on May 3.

The award recognizes those making an impact in Greene County—and with Azimuth’s contributions to the community’s economic growth, most noticeably 2023’s doubling of the company’s annual revenue to over $41 million, Azimuth fit the bill. Beyond economic contributions, Azimuth has shown a devotion to the Greene County community and beyond, with a recruiting methodology built around hiring veterans, evidenced by a staff of over 30 percent veterans, and company and employee initiatives in support of local non-profits.

Rossi was honored to receive the award—and impressed with the event, which was held at the Emerge Recovery & Trade Initiative campus in Greene County. “We appreciate residing in Greene County—it’s a community that clears the path for success in our industry and shows immense appreciation for businesses and nonprofits that choose to take root in the area,” she said.

The award was paired with a bevy of signed award recognition letters from regional and national leaders, including Governor Mike DeWine, Congressman Mike Turner, and Senator J.D. Vance. All will accompany the Greene County Achievers Award on Azimuth’s corporate walls.
